Which OS? I have Vista and my pointer is White, but I am sure the colour depends on your mouse settings. Try a different setting or try a system file scan.

Are you referring to Widows XP MCE, (Media Center Edition). If so, the default setting for the cursor is white.

Start> Control Panel> Mouse> Pointers> Scheme to change colours.

Right click command point, open "Run as administrator" at the prompt type sfc /scannow and hit enter, it's the only thing I can think of is that there is acorrupt file and this should check it.
I am assuming it's OK when not in Media Centre.

Several Fixes in these click here click here

ie.

turn off "Display pointer trails".

turn off "shadow along with trails".

go to the mouse in control panel and select a 3D version of the arrow.

upgrade to the latest video card driver.

changing the Theme to Windows Vista Basic, Windows Standard, or Windows Classic.

'ghostlobster' Says "Just an observation...I've been able to reproduce this by changing my desktop font DPI to custom (I think 200%) When I went back to just standard large font DPI, my mouse came back in MC".

'ghostlobster' "Are you using large fonts on your desktop?"

'mtzion24' "I believe she is yes."

'ghostlobster' "Well, there you go...that matches my recreate in my prior post."

-------------------------------------

change the mouse pointer scheme from Windows Aero to something else, actually any of the other schemes.
