I keep reinstalling the dam thing.
The next time I boot up it disappears.
Someone did mention that it may be doing “rollback”. I have no idea what this is. Perhaps if anyone can explain that one for me?
Can anyone help me please I don’t know what else to do

My system is windows XP HE with a xp2700 cpu and 512mb ddr 2700 memory and 80gb HD

Install it again and then set a system restore point.

Then run the system file checker

start

run

sfc /scannow

You will need a winXP cd - did you get one from HP?

Copy and paste into your browser and close up the space between // and support.

Or try downloading Windows Media Player9 again from:

Make sure it's the XP version.
