Windows ME boot disk lost

  swapper 23:32 08 Dec 03

I have lost my wife's original MS WinME boot disk.
(am I in the .... with her?) :-))
I reformatted her HD and then realised that all I could find was the emergency start up disk.
Can anyone drag me out oo this mire that I am in please?

As you have net access click here this disk is a UK version and comes with CDrom support. Or you could make your CDRom the first boot device via the bios and it will install from there.

Don't quite understand the current situation and what you want to do. Do you mean you wish to install ME but have no ME OS disk? Or what?

click here and get the WinME oem file.

Extact to a floppy and put this into your disk drive.

Reboot and when you get to the C:\ prompt, insert the CD into its drive.

Then, depending on the CD letter, type

That will get you going installing WinME.
