Windows Mail - "lost" deleted items folder

  frustrated_user 13:00 09 Mar 09

I've just imported a shed load of old emails from Outlook Express (XP, HDD died) into Windows Mail (Vista)

Couldn't read the emails as it said there was a problem with memory or something, so decided to delete them and just import a handful. I then got an error message saying something about couldn't delete (sorry, didn't read it fully) and now when I go back to Windows Mail, there's no "Deleted Items" folder - so I can't see if what was deleted is still there and/or purge the deleted stuff

Can anyone suggest how I can get the folder back?

Have you tried uninstalling windows mail and then reinstalling again?

Been doing a bit of Googling and I don't think this is possible, as it seems WM is part of Vista....

The odd thing is, I've gone to Outlook 2007 and done an import to here, and this has brought over all the emails that were originally OE, then put into WM and supposedly deleted.

In some ways I'm wondering if I should worry, but it seems at though these files are still in WM but not showing and thus wasting a lot of space?
