Windows mail delete files (Vista)

Just trying the move from XP and I'm using windows mail. All working so far BUT my delete file was showing 6 and I knew i'd deleted more than 6. Moving to the delete file listed about thirty, I deleted about ten and the delete file then showed 0 with about twenty files still showing. Beats me
Any ideas and please dont tell me I should have stayed with XP. Thank you

Probably the read/unread count.

Sorry I dont understand read/unread

Penny may have dropped
You mean some deleted files were NOT read ??
Therefore they would not count if unread.
This is certainly different to Xp

It behaves similarly to Outlook (not OE) where unread deleted emails are listed and numbered in the deleted folder.

No !
Ive just deleted two more files and the delete box still reads zero

Ok Chaps
I realise now how its so different

Yes anskyber - OE is the same. All folders show the number in brackets of unread messages in that folder.
