Windows Live Messenger log in Problem

  madmike 14:25 22 Jun 12

I am trying to log into my Windows Live Messenger, but I am getting a box appearing telling me I need to install a newer version to continue, I agree, it downloads, goes to install Windows Live Essetials 2011, it then stops, displays another window tellin me I need to install Windows Platform Update, I go to updates which tells me none available as all are up to date. Can anyone advise me what to do next? I am on windows Vista. Many Thanks Mike

It requires SP2 installed in your machine first.
