No, Outlook Express is incompaible with W7. I use Outlook 2007.

Whatever you do, make a backup of your OE folder, so you can restore it if ever you needed to.

In a WinXP system it can be found here by default: C:\Documents and Settings\[your profile username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{BC9141D6-CAFB-4BF6-98C0-87734E11D507}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

The {BC9141D6-CAFB-4BF6-98C0-87734E11D507} directory will be different in your system, but you cannot miss it as it's the only folder in Identities.

Outlook costs money, so use Thunderbird (Tb) if you cannot get on with Windows Live & need a freebie similar to OE - click here to download. FAQs wrt Win7 click here.

Tb will import OE messages from an OE backup, so you can have all your messages in Tb running in Win7. G

To add to the last paragraph about importing OE emails into Fb from an OE backup, it's not as straightforward as I thought.

If you ever have to do it see 'Advanced alternatives' at click here. G
