After a reinstall I tried to install office and received the error 1719.
I considered doing a reinstall again but surely the problem will still be there
I visited the relevant microsoft web page and feel dread having to do what is suggested.
Is there a better way? Can someone please help?
I subscribe to windows advisor which has a emergency aid disc will this help?
Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks

You could try this, in My Computer right click the Office CD then drag to desktop to copy it.
Restart in Safe Mode by keep tapping F8 as computer starts it's top of the list.

Next in Safe mode open the Copy and look for Office Setup File, Double click it to try loading it

I did as instructed and when I tried to save received the following message
Windows cannot access the specified drive, path or file. You may not have appropriate permission to access the item.
I am the only user and cannot see why this is so
