What's the nature of your Office installation? Is it the 2000 version?

I assume that you are NOT actually working on a network and that this message should not be appearing.

I am on a network, but i installed Office 2003 on this computer.

Have you had any luck searching for NAV.MSI on your local disk.

  ade.h 17:10 30 Dec 05

Ah, it's Office 2003. Not my specialism, as I use 2000; but assuming that it still uses fundamentally the same installer, run the installer again to change your installation and check whether the relevant items have been selected for installation to disk, as opposed to, say, run on first use or something similar.

Just installing it all again. Thanks for that, i'll say if there is any more probs.

Didn't work...still comes up with the error.

Try running the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility click here then re-installing Office.

  smc1 17:59 30 Dec 05

Di i need to uninstall Microsoft Office to use the Cleanup facility? And will it keep my Windows XP as normal?

  VoG II 18:03 30 Dec 05

You should not need to uninstall Office. The Cleanup facility will change the registry entries so that Windows does not 'think' that Office is installed.

It won't have any other effect on Windows.

It didn't help. I think there maybe a problem with my registry. Is there a programme to make sure my registry is ok and if not put files there that are needed.
