Windows Home Group

I have a computer that is part of a home group. The other PC in the home group does not work at all. I have therefore bought a new laptop, I am now trying to group the old computer and the new into a Home Group. I cannot remove the older computer from the home group because the broken computer cannot be accessed to close the Group. Can any one help please.. Thank you.

Do it the other way round. Ignore the non working pc on the Homegroup and remove your working pc from that group.

On your working pc leave the present homegroup. Now make a new homegroup with a new password and your laptop can join that.

If you have a problem when trying to leave the Homegroup, try the solution (some settings to alter and file to delete) on SevenForums click here
