Windows Explorer

Can anyone help? I'm running WXP Professional. I open up Windows Explorer. I click on a file to open it, then Explorer closes, without the file opening.This happens nearly every time now.

Do I have some sort of bug?

Try Start, Run, type in

sfc /runnow

and click OK.

Did that, command screen flashed four lines and then shut off.Is that what should happen?

Erm, no.

Try this: Start, Run and enter


then click OK.

At the > prompt type

sfc /scannow

and press the Enter key.

Thanks - did that, Windows checked the files , but problem still exists
