Anyway to remove windows defender from my system?
It does not seem to do anything so why have it?
I have several AV and Aspyware so would like to remove it.

In Vista then no. You can only disable it. Check it out as it has some uses. In XP then yes.

It should be updated quite often via Microsoft updates and a scheduled scan set. Open it up to check setting and have a look at what it can show you of running programs etc. I would make sure it's not disabled in Vista in my opinion.

I'm curious to know why you don't want it?

"It does not seem to do anything... "

Isn't that what you want - also don't forget it is working in 'realtime' which many freebies do not.
