I have just downloaded some windows updates. When I tried to close down the closedown button had a little picture on it which was not there before.
It said that the updates had to be installed and told me not to switch off the PC.
It took abbout 2 mins with this message keep appearing.
I have never seen this before,is it in oder?
Next time I started and shutdown everything was as before. Is this ok.

Yes it's okay, Sometimes Microsoft updates can't be installed until shutdown.

I got same message for my XP system. It happens now and then.

I have XP Pro - it does occasionally arise that Updates are Installed before a Shut Down and the message appears in the Shut Down box apparently from out of the blue...:-)
