My windows xp clock is running 30 ish minutes fast and even when I have altered the time via the time zone it is still 30 minutes ahead after a reboot.

When starting up, go into the BIOS and see what the time is there; could be that Windows is not saving changes in the BIOS for some reason.

You may see something like "press DEL to enter setup".

Thanks Diodorus. I haave just gone into the daylight saving tab and clicked it off then back on and it has reverted to the correct time.

OK; that's good :-)

If you double click on the time shown in the Notification tray, the Date and Time Properties panel will appear.

Click on the Internet Time tab and you can have the correct time set via the Internet either automatically or manually.
