Windows can't find Adobe Reader to open pdf docs

  Trikie 22:04 25 Sep 05

I've got Adobe Reader 6.0 and it open website documents no trouble. When I try to open a text document in pdf I get a message "Windows cannot open this file" and the when I go the list of programmes Adobe is not there.

How do I get Windows to recognise Adobe?

In XP windows explorer Navigate to where pdf file is stored right click - open with - navigate to where .exe stored check tick box always open eith this programme ... hope fully that should do it ( on older versions of windows it was shift & rught click open with)

Hope that works
