Hiya guys i have an old laptop i seem to be having issues with, all i am trying to do is install W7 over XP, and when i am on desktop i put the disc in (w7) just to check its recognising the Iso/Image and it does...the windows image comes up, BUT when i reboot and "Boot from disc" although the black screen comes up and it says "Windows is loading" it only moves about a quarter of the way on the progress bar then after 10 mins says "Windows Boot Manager error 0xc00000e9?????

Has anyone got any idea please what is wrong with it? ive just done a Diagnostic and 100% was ok.? Thanks

"""""""SOLVED"""""""

Ive just found out this is a big issue with XP and older laptops! anyway i have been on MANY forums and tried almost everything! what i did is i took my Windows 7 disc out which is Original! and put my old VISTA RE-Installation disc in and it loaded Vista in! then simply just put my W7 disc back in the DVD Burner then reboot once it found the image! WOW that was a nightmare with a happy ending :-)
