I have made a backup using Windows backup and copied it onto a rerecordable DVD

I have now done a second backup and want to store it on the same DVD but the wizard tells me to erase the DVD first

When I click on erase DVD in the side window the wizard starts but then says it is unable to complete the erase

Help please why is it not letting me erase?

(win XP Home)

Thanks

Phil

Because the windows formatting thing is only compatiable with cd-rs, cd-rws and partitions/harddisks..... DVDs are compatiable

Does this mean that I am unable to erase my DVD then even though it is a rerecordable one?

Thanks

Yes, but only if you are using "windows".... You can use programs such as "Nero 6" and that will work perfectly.....

Have used Recordnow which came with the computer and all is well

Many thanks for help
