hi - I'm a total novice to this and wonder if you can advise: I've got bt broadband on two computers (via their own pc adaptor that connects through the phone line) No problem there - both computers get broadband at the same time aok - question is: one's on Windows98 one's on Xp - can we communicate? I want to share the scanner that's on the other computer - I THINK I've done what you're meant to do according to instructions - but I just can't get it to work...am I missing something?

mco I am not up on sharing a scanner over a network except to say that it is not as easy as sharing a printer to share a scanner I think special software is needed, someone else might be able to give you more info.

from my understanding you need a scanner that will support network scanning, check your scanner manual and cd for any extra software that needs installed
