Hi everyone.

My daughters win 98 se computer is restarting every time she shuts it down. It goes through the cycle to stop and goes straight to the post screen and starts to load windows. We have just cloned the old 15Gb hard drive to a new 80Gb one as the old one was running out of space. The clone by acronis was successfull and everything loads fine.

System is a 1Ghz cpu with 512Mb of pc133 ram and a 128Mb graphics card. the system is fast and does everything she wants, only 9 years old.

Thanks in advance.

I just remembered. I enabled fast shutdown in msconfig / advanced.

I have just disabled it and it now shuts down fine.

I should have remembered, silly me.
