What is the maximum HDD size you can have with Windows 98?

Windows 98 will take all new drives if formatted to FAT32 it cannot read a NTFS formatted drive.

The limit is more likely to be imposed by the BIOS on your motherboard.

Some boards cannot take more than 32G and HDD have a 32G clip jumper fitted to make them work.

Old BIOS may limit what size can be seen by the board (really old 8G). HDD makers hve overlay software that gets round BIOS limitations.
