windows 7 - working off line

using bt internet with a router,and mozilla firefox with windows 7.

How do I work off line with the above please, I am always connected online?

In FF go to File > Work Offline.

If you haven't got your browser open the only programs that are "on-line" are those that auto update.

What exactly do yu want to do off line?

To be totally independent of the net just either disconnect the ethernet cable
or click on wireless connection and select disconnect
or pull the telephone cable out of the router.
