Windows 7 update advisor

I have tried to use the the windows 7 update advisor on my computer but when i run the program, it will not pass the first screen when i click start scan. I havent a clue why this is doing this.

Ive done a little google search and i have found Robthat an anti-virus can cause this to happen. I have searched for the .dll file the google search has mentioned but i cant find it.

Could it be a virus that is stopping this to happen?

Ive also downloaded another program but i cant get past the licence agreement screen for the same thing. The licence agreement screen is the first screen that loads up when starting the program.

How can i solve this? I assume that both of these programs are not working because of the same reason but part of me thinks that this might be separate issues and it is just a coincident.

Download install, update and scan with malwarebytes (free) click here.

If that doesn't find anything then maybe you have a file corruption in windows causing the problem

try running system file checker
start - run - type
sfc /scannow
press ok

Cheers, malwarebytes found the virus that was causing the issue.

Is they any other really good anti-virus programs that i should have?

I already have spybot, zonealarm and superantivirus.
