Hi,

Basically my computer crashes every-time i am gaming for about 10 mins. I dont get a blue screen of death, it just restarts. After it restarts the message 'windows has recovered from an expected shutdown. appears. The error name itself is the blue screen of death.

I have updated all drivers/software and run various virus and pc checks to no avail.

Sometimes the computer randomly restarts after a long time if im just browsing the web but thats rare, but as soon as i start gaming or doing anything substantial it dies.

Anybody have any ideas as to the reasons? or how to fix this problem?

cheers

as i start gaming or doing anything substantial it dies.

Overheating or signs of the PSU overloading.

open it up and clean out all the dust and fluff especially the fluff that gets trapped between heatsink and fan on the cpu.

What size PSU and how old?

may also be worth using memtest to check the RAM.
