Windows 7 - recovered from unexpected error

  MartynH 19:59 22 Oct 10

I have notice in the last few weeks that my PC is shutting down when left unattended for a couple of hours and then I get the message that Windows has recovered from an unexpected error (or words to that effect). Is there any way of tracing what could be causing the error?

I have just looked in the event log under the 'critical' setting and there are 19 listings and each one states 'kernal power' as the source, event ID 41 & task category 63, any ideas?
