Windows 7 non responsive after been left idle

So far this has happened twice, after been left idle overnight. I cannot open programs and ctrl alt del dosen't work, all i get is a black screen. Have had to reset the pc due to this. I am running Win7 Home Premium 64bit

Any Idea's?

Are you using a Core i7 and is it overclocked?

Try the solution listed below, i think it will help you out...

press F11 key at boot-up?
---> START > Control Panel > Administrative tools or shorter way:

--> START > run > type compmgmt.msc --> Enter

--> then Disk management

--> Find which is recovery partition

--> Make Mark partition as Active

--> Then restart pc.

I am using a I7 Core and not it isn't overclocked , just standard speeds. I will try that later today.

so my advice is to keep away from it.

check power management & see if keeping power always on helps. i had similar trouble with i7 860 processor.

Looks like the PC is going to sleep. Usually the Windows key wakes it.
Ctrl+ shift+Esc in W
