i run windows 7 X64 professional. i also have a netgear adapter GA311 v2. this worked well when i had vista installed and XP. howeverthe new os will recognise the adapter load on drivers for it but it will not connect to my network. when i run the windows troubleshoot the error message i get is "local area connection doesn't hace a valid IP configuration"

Any suggestions

Are you using WHQL drivers with this adapter , for a 64bit OS they must be WHQL .
