I have Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop and I’m contemplating having Windows 7 Professional on my Desktop machine. The question is, is there likely to be any conflict concerning networking and/or synchronising or any other matter?

Can I also ask, what is meant by 'full version' of these operating systems

There shouldn't be any conflict or problems networking "Home Premium" and "Professional" versions of Windows 7. Is there a particular reason for requiring Pro on the Desktop?

Have a look at the references on this Google page for the differences between OEM and Full versions of the software.

Thanks mgmcc! The Google link was very informative, in fact the difference between full and OEM versions is quite fundamental. The only reason I wanted the Professional version is because somehow it seems better than the Home Premium version. That's the only reason really!
