Windows 7 Freezing???

  Uboat 18:13 10 Mar 11

Hi guys, having used W7 since the days of the RC versions ive never had it freeze on me, that is until yesterday? since then its froze 4 times the mouse freezes & task manager wont respond?
i have been doing a forced reboot via the power button & i am not sure what this is? i will say it seems that since the windows SP1 (Service Pack) its been doing this so ive uninstalled it then found it was still doing the same?

Has anyone else had the same & can anyone suggest anything please

I'm running on a Quadcore with 6 gig of RAM & using the Ultimate 64 bit version

faulty ram or drivers needing updated maybe.
You dont need a disc to run sfc /scannow so maybe give that a try.
