Windows 7 compatability

I have a new computer with Win 7 32bit os.

When loading drivers for epson printers I am getting messages about compatability and find that while I can print from computer, the scanning facility does not work. I think I may have the same problem with other devices and programs, is there an easy solution?

Are you downloading drivers from the Epson web site or using the generic Windows 7 printer driver

My experience with HP all in one is that the Windows 7 driver will work the printer, but to get the scanner to work you need to download new HP drivers direct from the maker's site

I guess Epson will have released new drivers for W7 which will include scanner software but if not see if they have a Vista driver which may work

Thank you for that, I took your advice and contacted Epson direct and you were quite right, I was given links to Vista scanner drivers for both printers and downloading those seems to have solved the problem.
Seems a bit ridiculous though, howver, thank you again
