What sound card is it?

It's a focusrite saffire pro 24 dsp.i've tried to connect other firewire devices but nothing happened.

What kind of adapter have you bought?
What operating systems are you using?

  Havaiz 17:49 12 Mar 11

It's a firewire female to usb male adapter(no drivers)click here.
I'm using windows 7 64bit
processor intel i5 2.53GHz
4GB ram
The motherboard I think it's a HP 143A model
PCI-e.

The adapter you show has very bad reports on Amazon and I have a feeling that they don't work. Depending on your laptop you might want to consider click here or click here
