Windows 7

Will Windows 7 run with less than 1gb of RAM?

I know Microsoft stipulates that 1gb RAM is requirerd, but I was wondering if my 750mb of memory would be stil be enough to run it.

My PC otherwise conforms to the minimum spec.

I don't know the answer to your question, but you could add more RAM

Anyone else care to advise please to original queston. Thank you

Out of interest, I am currently running XP Pro

My Win 7 home premium uses 1086 MB ram out of 2047 MB. Leaving 966 MB free.

Just to add to that - you do have options to turn things off via Control Panel - Performance Information & Tools - Advanced Tools - and from there you can adjust for "Best Performance" - "Best Appearance" etc. - There is a lot to choose from to make things run better with less RAM although you may be a bit disappointed. MORE Ram is better in my opinion.
