Windows 2000 Pro

Went to look at a friends comp is has Windows 2000 Pro as the OS, and it will not accept her log-in password even though she has always used the same one.

Never had to deal with this type of problem before, would be gratful for any suggestions as to the easiest way around it.

Check the login name and password again.

Other that that (for obvious reasons) theres not much you can do.

Double check that caps lock is not on and that there is no space before the user name or password. The later is a common problem I have found. Is there any security settings for account users?

Well don't know what the problem was but she can now Log-on as usual.
