A friend of mine has a problem > When she exits a program the window 'Drains from the screen downwards, just like a curtain' She runs Win XP on a CRT monitor. The HDD has been de-fragmented and is rarely, if ever, multi-tasked. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like a memory issue, how much RAM installed?

Sorry Al94, don't have that info to hand. I'll try to get the owner to register and respond later today if this is OK. Thanks for your interest.

Is this an old or new computer?

  candun 08:26 04 Mar 07

It's an old computer which has been upgraded to XP.

Sorry for delay been at work

Sounds like you computer has slowed to a crawl.

Could be too little Memory running newer high spec programs? Have you installed any new large software programs (M.S Office)? Is the hard drive full (no virtual memory)?

Does this happen with all programs or just some?
