I am currently using vista 64 with a laptop which was purchased from dell in April so is capable of using a windows 7 upgrade package.
But would an upgrade package be as stable as a complete package?
Would an upgrade package inheriate any registry or current issues affecting my current system?
Or are both just as good if so why the difference?

Yes, an upgrade is identical, exept that you need to have another windows operating system such as vista to install it

When you run the disk,it gives you a choice. it enables you to do a complete install, or with vista, leave some of your stuff on.

I used an upgrade on my laptop, and it works identical to my desktop which has a full version.
