Win98SE does not like IE6.?

I have seen a number of times the statement that Win98SE and IE6 do not seem to agree with each other. Does anybody agree with this statement , and if so, why?. I have been having a few hiccups lately with both the above and am thinking of moving back to IE5. Has anyone changed back to IE5? and are updates to IE5 still available?.

I'm on 98se and have had IE6 since it came out. No probs(apart from Windoze usual!).

Have win98se and have installed ie6 but only because some sites don't like netscape 4 or 7(7 being my main browser). But no major probs with it.

I have been using EI6 SP1 with Windows 98SE without any problems at all. In fact I have removed EI5.5 from the system entirely, best thing I could have done.

A nonsensical statement - millions of people happily enjoy life running Win98SE and IE6.

I have been using EI6 SP1 and all the Ms upgrades to it with Windows 98SE without any problems.

but this was down to a bit of software that "btconnect" had added and once it was deleted I have had no problems at all.
