There is an option for 'last known good configuration'. Can someone remember how to get to it?

use an emergency floppy start up disc to start
the p/c

then type

scanreg /restore

and pick one of the registry back-ups to re-install

Press F8 repeatedly while booting.

At the DOS screen choose "Command Prompt only"

At the C:> prompt type scanreg /restore and <Enter>

After the screen has settled you will have a list of the last five dates when the system ran correctly. Choose one which is a little earlier than any recent trouble and Enter.
