WIN2K conflict

Had 2 OS's on 40GB HDD.
Win2k, clean install on new HDD, all display options available, temporarily worked fine before dreaded blue stop screen appeared after installing scanner, shut down various devices in safe mode. Re-started one by one, scanner re-inst. Blue stop screen. Downloaded drivers, installed - Blue stop screen, cannot re-start even in safe mode. Any ideas? No boot floppy
(Yes, I know but had only just installed OS)

Do I really have to fdisk and start again?

Are you able to boot from CD? If so, you should be able to repair the installation from the Recovery Console. Post back if you require more details.

It's best to reply in here then you have more chance of resolving your problem and it also helps others who are looking for a similar solution.

Are you sure that your computer booted from the CD and not the HD when the above happened?
