Win XP won't boot even after repair.

My Win XP Home SP2 desktop suddenly stopped booting recently. It gets to a window displaying the "Intel Celeron Inside" logo, then just stops. I cvan't boot it in safe mode either.
Took it to local repair shop, who said it booted just fine with them.
Brought it home, and same boot problem again.
Any ideas?

All your un-needed peripherals unplugged? Sometimes even a faulty mouse or keyboard can cause boot problems so try without one or other, or both.

Brundle, you're a genius! Did as you suggested, and it's booted up right away. I'll now plug the peripherals back in one by one to see which one was to blame.
Great forum.
Many thanks.
