Win XP - Removing Networks

Having tried a number of differing network setups, I now wish to remove all traces of previous installations. Normal uninstall procedures seem to leave traces all over the system. Any Ideas?

system - hardware - device manager - network and then click on the view tab at the top. click on show hidden devices. you should then be able to highlight each one and click on remove/delete. you will then need to reboot to be clear.
