win xp reinstall

  Smokeyone 07:35 29 Sep 06

I have been trying to do a win xp reinstall but I keep getting error messages. One message is that there is insufficient space to do a recovery, if I continue then win will not work correctly the other message is that NTLDR is missing.Lastly my system will not recognise the HP recovery disc, even says to enter the correct disc
Any ideas please as my system refuses to do anything now.
I posted this message by using a linux live cd in my pc.

Are you using an XP Disc or the recovery disc supplied? I would suggest that you back up any data you need now using the linux disc because using the HP recovery disc will probably remove your data and return the computer to ex-factory stste.

click here for some assistance with NTLDR.

Also do you have an XP sticker and CD key if you have to do a fresh install?
