Win Xp Reboots After Shutdown

Hi Folks.
Could do with some help on this problem as its really starting to annoy me.
i have 2 hard drives both have win xp installed,trouble is one hard drive keeps rebooting when i choose shut down,s then i have to boot from the second hard drive so i can shut the pc down,this has only happened in the last 7 days,so anyhelp here would be appreciated.
I dont get any blue screen or error message,just rebbots,,,,very annoying.

try control panel, system, advanced, startup and recovery settings, alter the setting for automatic restart on system failure, this may then present you with an error message on shutdown, do you have sp1 installed?.
