Can anyone give me some advice about downgrading from Win XP Pro to Win XP Home. I have a desktop PC and a Laptop both of which are linked via a wireless router which coinnects to the internet. Will XP Home still manage to make all the necessary network connections?

Thanks

Cannot see why not, but am suprised that you want to downgrade. XP pro is better. If you were going the other way I could understand why.

Agree with kjrider. I cannot think of one good reason why you would want to do this.

It would be really interesting to hear your reasons.

Only difference between the two is better security options in PRO for networked PCs.

You can just switch off (disable) the unwanted services rather than uninstall, lose all your programs and settings, install Home and then reinstall all your programs.
