Win XP can't Boot. Possible Gibe Infection.

Got a Windows XP PC that reboots when the green left to right scroller appears during boot up.

Even happens in Safe Mode!!!

Client states he got a virus but NAV 2002 didn't pick it up. Description matches NAV. He got an 8 minute countdown and the PC rebooted. On start up he got a 7 minute countdown and the PC rebooted etc etc until now when the PC won't boot at all.

Any ideas?

I'm going to scan the HDD in another PC to start...

Jester2K - If you know what virus it is, try the norton website for a removal tool, most of the automatic removal tools can be run form a bootable floppy, only problem maybe if the File system is NTFS, as a normal DOS boot disc may not recognise it.
