Is it possible to delete a file in the startup page in mscofig........I was foolish enough to download a piece of crap software and it is still in my startup list (although i have disabled it)
CAN IT BE DELETED ?

Looking at above can be a bit messy

Start > Run > Type: regedit

Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig

Exapnd the trees and look for your entry.

(this is the reg key for XP, i'll assume its the same for 98)

Back it up just in case.
