will a usb 2.0 pci card work with win 98,
I know it is supported on win 98 se but read somewhere it is not supported in win 98 by microsoft.
Has any one got one working in win98 and how is it done ie drivers etc.

Card should come with driver software make it works.

If you have Windows 98, you will have to rely on 3rd party USB 2.0 support from USB card manufacturer.

I still have problems re USB and w98 - -have a thread still open on here somewhere. In a nutshell, installed a USB2 pci card on a w98 pc for a new printer - - and got printer working fine - - - but modem then refused to work. Took USB card out and modem back-to-normal - - so, its either modem or printer at the minute. Just go and see if I can find thread.

PCI sockets ,slots,buses,

some have 2 key(older)(slots)
Some have 3 key slots(2.2)

I think that it maybe IRQ conflict, usb card and modem try to use the sam IRQ. I am not sure how to sort this kind of problem, but it is highly possible. If it can not be sorted, get an external usb modem, g.g. click here.
