I have ms office 2003 installed but have just bought office 2007. I started to install 2007 but stopped halfway as I suddenly thought I may lose my emails.
Well as a consequence of this, outlook will no longer open, it says MAPI32.DLL is corrupt

Question is,
1) can I safely install 2007 without losing my emails and
2) if I need to backup my emails what file(s) do I need to do and where will they be

cheers

Office should not affect your emails.

I would expect that you should be able to import the Back-up created into 2007, should the installation go pear shaped.

However, it would be expected that, under normal circumstances, the installation of Office 2007, over a previous version of Office, should pick up an install the old .pst files.
