will a psu "designed for P4" work with AMD chips?

i compiled my own system and on the side of the psu it says "Designed For Pentium 4", will this be compatible with an AMD motherboard and chip?

provided it has the right connecting plug for your motherboard you shouldn't have any problems. The electric power doesn't care what sort of cpu etc that you are using.

Tombojo, the supply will have the standard ATX connector in addition to a small connector required only for the P4.
