will fan fit into this case

sorry to bring this up again, will this click here fit into a "Antec Sonata III Piano Black Quiet Case. I'll have an 8800gt

It`s not so much will it fit in the case (it should) as will it clear other components and cards on the motherboard. The easiest way to see is to turn off power at the mains and using a wooden/plastic ruler measure the available space around the CPU. Or better still, especially if there is no heatsink and fan fitted to the CPU, a cardboard box with 108mm x 108mm x 62.5mm sides.

If you have a heatsink and fan fitted measure from the motherboard surface for depth.

You really should have watched Blue Peter as a child :-)

  georgefarrall 11:39 16 Jun 08

I did, "and this is one I made earlier" :-)

Blue Peter was AFTER my time as a child....:-)

The query was tongue in cheek - it was the .5mm that made me chuckle...:-)

`Blue Peter was AFTER my time as a child....`

Well you should have watched it with your grandchildren then :-))

Anyway, given a decent (high power) magnifying glass even I could approximate 0.5mm - or in real measurements 0.020 ins. Plus of course it`s easier to cut and paste dimensions from the advertisement ;-)
