Hi,sorry for the long post.

uninstalled original wifi adapter(hardware only) from an advent 9515 laptop, installed GIGABYTE GN-WS50G AirCruiser G Mini-PCI-E Adapter, windows vista recognised new hardware i pointed windows to where drivers were and everything went ok.
but for some reason the switch that turns the wifi adapter on and off dont work.in the task bar theres the "safely remove hardware" symbol. it's as if it thinks it's a usb device.so i uninstalled the new card & reinstalled the old card and the switch worked and i connected to my wireless network straight away.one thing i noticed was that the driver was'nt in program files, like the old driver was.have i done something wrong?the reason for changeing the card is that i was having limited conectivity problems and i have tried everything, so i thought i'd put a new card in thanks cc
