WI for the laptop

I have just bought a WIRELESS USB NETWORK ADAPTER(Belkin)G54to put in my laptop. do I need to fit a wireless card or to plug in to my laptop I am already running my pc on WI and everything is running ok with the PC do I need anything else ?????? cooki8c

Install the adapter's software on the laptop (isn't it wireless already, most newish laptops are), plug in the adapter to a USB port. It should then pick up the wireless signal from your router and inform you that you are within range of a wireless network and offer you the option to connect to it. Choose to connect and enter your wireless network's security passphrase and you should then be able to connect.

many thanks MAJ while I'm on the subject I run a 'normal' Belkin WI and my new usb adapter is a belkin54 do I need to install the new disc for it to run wireless as it says in the adapter install disc before using usb or will the wireless connect to the 54 adapter without any problems
